The Santovitos are a family like many others: mother Lavinia, a successful lawyer, father Matteo, a policeman, and their children Camilla and Roberto. Their lives are turned upside down one Friday evening when Camilla goes out and doesn't return at the scheduled time. Lavinia no longer trusts the police's investigation and decides to find the true culprit in Camilla's death on her own. She works to exonerate Kevin, clashing with the law firm where she works, but especially with her husband Matteo. Her investigations reveal inconsistencies in the behavior of several people who frequented her daughter, such as her friend Valentina and her ex-boyfriend... Everyone seems to have something to hide. Matteo also continues his investigation, which focuses on a prostitution ring.

What if Matteo himself were to question his own certainties?
