Dog Days of Summer

About

Between talking about cars, drifting, smoking around the fire, casting fishing lines, and rehearsing in the garage, a metal band desperately needs to find a drummer for their next show as a heatwave drags on. Behind this urgent, pragmatic quest lies another one, more existential: that of a generation faced with an uncertain future and driven by dreams of wealth and fame. After Summer Nights and Summer Love, Virgile Ratelle's Dog Days of Summer is the latest chapter in a potential summer trilogy, delivering a new tender and heartfelt coming-of-age film whose execution reveals a strong and confident cinematic personality.
