Franchise timeline
A collection of outrageous Hong Kong cut-and-paste action movies from the late 1980s and early 1990s, produced by IFD Films & Arts. These bizarre international productions combine footage from unrelated Asian action and drama films with newly filmed scenes featuring Western actors, creating convoluted stories involving American commandos, crime syndicates, assassins, and international conspiracies. Known for their wildly mismatched storylines, awkward editing, and gloriously incoherent action, the American Commando films are prime examples of the anything-goes filmmaking style that made Hong Kong's cut-and-paste movie industry a cult phenomenon.
